So I love the older GSXR's so I know I am probably odd man out.. but I have a 1992 GSXR750 in great condition with custom plastic/paint work ... The rims I have are painted (good job .. gunmetal/granite grey with a clear coat)
I am looking to keep these and get another set of rims that I can polish.

I know most of the people on here seem to have the newer GXR's but I thought I would try..
Anyone put a newer set on an older GSXR? Just looking for a set to polish but as you can image, trying to find a set of 92 rims is a bit more difficult than I thought.
Thanks for the help

Ah a fellow oil boiler. Welcome. Make yourself a thread in the new members section and introduce yourself.

As far as I recall the ‘89 to 93 used the twisted spoke wheel. ‘94 to ‘98? Used the straight spoke and we’re slightly lighter. The original OEM rear rim on my ‘89 would have been a 5.5” but it was a common mod to put a 6.5 on but I don’t know the years most frequently used. You would need the same carriers or spend time figuring out the correct spacers.

Finding aftermarket wheels for it then comparing the list of bikes they are “supposed to” fit may give you something to work off of.

I have a '95. I recently had to go on the grueling task of finding a front rim. Search tip: Look up '92 1100 rims. Your options will multiply. The 750's and 1100's were pretty much the same bike back then. Good luck.

We need you to post an intro post in the new members section.
