Currently I have a 1998 Gsxr 750 with a blown motor. I will be tearing it down to check over the damage but I'm curious to know what kind of work I'd be getting into putting in a 1k or even another 750 motor from either a 00 or 01. I know there is some bracket issues, but how about the wiring etc? Also I could get my hands on a 97 motor, but is there much of a difference changing it over to a FI motor? I have all the parts from my motor to do it, but I'm not sure if the FI would hook up direct, plus sensors etc...

Bro I aint claiming to be Mr motorcyle...but I have a 96 srad 750. That I have stuffed in a 05 1000 in it. Im still putting it together. It all depends on how much time and effort you wanna put in it. I say get you a 01-02 1k and put in your bike,if you want little or no hassle install . You should be able to get mounts from hybrid racing , my application called for me to make my mounts. but I do believe that they do have the mounts for the 01-02 1k swap. Yep you will need ecu, harness ,throttle bodies 4 the 1k.And pssble other parts. Its all about whatyou wanna accomplish...Big ups and good luck

Reggaerider :thumbup: is right but hybrid make brackets for the 00- up 750 not the srad models. Take a look around plenty have done it.

I got in touch with hybrid and audi is right... sadly its gonna take some welding but I think its just easier to pick up another bike at this point. parting my 98 out and hoping for a fast winter seems the better way to go
