Currently I have a 1998 Gsxr 750 with a blown motor. I will be tearing it down to check over the damage but I'm curious to know what kind of work I'd be getting into putting in a 1k or even another 750 motor from either a 00 or 01. I know there is some bracket issues, but how about the wiring etc? Also I could get my hands on a 97 motor, but is there much of a difference changing it over to a FI motor? I have all the parts from my motor to do it, but I'm not sure if the FI would hook up direct, plus sensors etc...
Any help is appreciated.

I got in touch with hybrid and audi is right... sadly its gonna take some welding but I think its just easier to pick up another bike at this point. parting my 98 out and hoping for a fast winter seems the better way to go :(
