just thought i would make something just because i can and it is free.

buying a megaphone cost to much. all it is is a 2.25-3" side exit megaphone... i can make that, lol.

once i get finished with the welding it will either be painted black or silver with high temp. it isnt stainless like the others but this is free and it will sound and look close to the same.

i have a full yoshi exhaust now but the yoshi muffler i have is pretty quiet... at least where you are riding it. so i want to try this out and see if it deafens me. i would really like to get a m4... but they are kinda hard to find for the 03 1k's

as soon as it is done. it isnt even welded up yet, just tacked so i could test fit. will get welded up, ground down, and painted this weekend

Looks nice there but since you is completing it I think that you should put a baffle in it just to satisfy your neighbors. When I first saw this was thinking that you was doing a Sidewinder exhaust.

JMO, but thats too much work for something you could have bought at Autozone. A cone exhust tip would have been easier to start with and "straighter" when complete. But if you take the "I made this from scratch" factor, I can see how you'd be impressed. However, if you do a great job, it will look like you bought a megaphone tip, no one will notice. If you don't get the waves out, EVERYONE will notice. Good luck bro.

Goto locl muffler shop purchase some baffle from there then weld it up in there just like the Hotbodies cut-slash

i have built turbo cars for years now but am just now getting into bikes so i wanted to as you guys this....

how touchy are the tune on these things. i havent done any pulls with it on, i just rode around alittle. it doesnt seem to like it very much. do i need to get a new tune on my power commander?

never ridden and unlowered 1k. it handles great though. i couldnt reach the ground if it wasnt lowered, it would be like me riding my motocross bike, lol... well not that bad.

as far as how loud. about like someone screaming directly into your ear. it needs a baffle. the yoshi exhuast was way to quiet for me but i need a middle area.
