ok im trying to make a custom 240 fat tire kit and i was thinkn i could have the welder just cut it and weld it so that it'll fit but now im starting to think this might not be all that stable? i just want something new for local bike shows and for cruising around pretty much not gonna drag wit it any comments?

im talking about cuting the stock swingarm to make it as big as the 240 kits or 300 kits i saw one the other day at a show and looked sweet

any certified weldin shop in your area should be able to take care of it. after all a good weld is stronger than metal :thumbup:

Unless you can do most of the design and fabrication yourself, you would better off buying a kit. Even if it is just the swing arm. There are so many companies doing it now. The price has dropped a great deal.

ya look for kits.. better off. unless you knwo the welder and you know he is good. wouldnt take ANY shortcuts on a bike.

a friend of mines dad did that, he took 2 swing arms for a zx10 and made a custom 300 rear ill try to get pics
