I have an 05 750 and I'm looking to re-gear it with the -1 +2 setup. I have a friend that went down 3 and up 7 on his 600 and he was going 70mph by my truck while his speedo said 45. How much is this gonna throw my speedometer off? What will my top speed be?

On my 600 speedo is about 30% off and I top out @ approx 145mph (I think). But how often do you go that fast?

I havent done it, but a speedo healer is supposed to fix the speedo being off and stop your miles from going out the roof. But -3 +7 is crazy, he's a stunter isnt he?

on my 600 I am down 1 up 2 and it was off 15mph at 75. I put the speedo healer on and now its perfect. would recommend the speedo healer when u get ur sprockets, so u dont put more miles on the bike than u actually ride.

Yeah I have changed my gears a few times. Love my Speedo Healer. I got up to 150 and could have squeezed maybe 5 more MPH when I was -1 +2. But I wasn't trying to. Top was 167 mph with the stock gears.

Taken from the speedo healer user guide...

% Difference =
(new front x std. rear) ÷ (std. front x new rear) -1 ) x 100

Eg. (15 x 45) ÷ (16 x 47) -1 ) x 100 = -10.24%

So... if you went -1 +2 from a 16t front and 45t rear std. your speedo would read about 110mph at a true 100mph and roughly 165mph at 150mph...:D

don't forget the stock gearing doesn't mean your speedo is accurate.
+1 on the front only gave me 13% fast on my speedo, +1 math wise does not = 13%
apparently from the factory mine was off about 6%
