I have a 2009 gsxr 1000 and got a 2008 gsxr 750 fairing kit would this fit properly?

They are the same generation. I was under the impression the 1000 frame was slightly larger - that may mean mounting points are differently spaced. 600 & 750 should be bolt on compatable, the 1000 may need some adjustments to tabs or holes to line up. Perhaps one of the litre bike guys will confirm, it is not a swap I have done.

I didn't think that the 600/750 (basically the same) fairings were anywhere near a fit on a 1000 of any generation of GSXR, they're completely different bikes from the ground up.

I have to ask…Why wouldn’t you get a kit that was made for your bike??

I had found a brand new 750 kit on marketplace for $400 cheaper so I was wondering if it would work

Oh good so you didn’t buy it, you were just checking to see if it would fit. That makes sense to me.
