I just took my bike to the dealership (k4 gsxr600) becuase of this FI light and they siad it was the kickstand switch or whatever and they fixed it. I was cruising aorund for probaly 3 hours and no shit it turns back on....when it turns on the bike lags a bit and then go back to normal, then lags , then normal...etc... ( light stays flashing) basically i caled the dealership back and told me it was out of there expertiese and that i have to take it to a suzuki dealership...

I have noticed everytime i hit a bump also it kicks back .

any ideas how to fix? its annoying the shit out of me and the next opening at the dealership isnt till monday...no way am i missing out of this amazing 60 degree weather this week...

any ideas what could cause this lagging action? or how to check code

thanks

If you recently put a pc3 in there try updating the firmware.

Other than that do the trouble shooting of fuel system. Could even be a bad connection to your fuel pump but none the less trouble shoot to find a source. Do the code thing for one which has to be done with out turning the bike off after the problem.

When the FI light comes on put it in dealer mode (search if you dont know what this is) yourself and find out what code its throwing and go from there. Obviously it's beyond their capabilities if they can't get that far. Get the code. I'm not aware of an FI code for a kickstand switch. The kickstand switch SHOULD kill the motor if its in gear and comes down enough to let the plunger come out!

You can access the dealer mode connector.
It's on the left with two wires running into it and a protective rubber boot on it. Simply bridge the two wires with a paper clip, turn on the ignition and you are now in dealer mode.
Any fault codes stored in your ECU will be displayed on your odometer
the fault codes are...

C00 no fault
C11 camshaft position sensor
C12 crankshaft position sensor
C13 intake air pressure sensor
C14 throttle position sensor
C15 engine coolant temperature sensor
C21 intake air temp sensor
C22 atmospheric pressure sensor
C23 tip over sensor
C24 ignition signal for no.1 cyl.
C25 ignition signal for no.2 cyl.
C26 ignition signal for no.3 cyl.
C27 ignition signal for no.4 cyl.
C28 secondary throttle valve actuator
C30 secondary throttle control unit
C31 gear position signal
C32 injector signal for no.1
C33 injector signal for no.2
C34 injector signal for no.3
C35 injector signal for no.4
C41 fuel pump control system
C42 ignition switch signal
C46 exhaust control valve actuator (1000 only)

With it cutting out going over bumps I would check the kickstand switch and the kickstand spring it might be weak.

I thought the point of the kickstand switch was for safety and will turn off the motor. Putting it in FI mode has nothing to do with it.
