If your friend has the money to replace your bike, great, if not, hope you do. No insurance, your basically on your own. Hopefully your friend is brighter then you are for letting your friend ride an uninsured bike that you can't afford to replace.

Yeah sorry to say it but unless you can find some way of getting him to pick up the repair bill or get you another bike you're pretty SOL. If you don't mind loosing a friend you could do a civil suit against him but I don't recommend that at all.

Not to sound "holier than thou" but this is why I don't let anyone ride my bike. Unless its my dad, only because i know if he wrecks it he'll repair it.

damn bro, this sucks... I hate to sound cliche as well but I dont let anyone other than my mechanic ride my bike.. period...

That doesnt help I know, because whats done is done so here is my opinion: his insurance isnt going to pay, how close are you with him? as stated before if he is a TRUE friend then he will cough up the cash and replace/repair your bike, if not, your only course of action is maybe a small claims suit... damages are probably well over the warranting action... hate to do that to someone you call a friend but you gotta take care of you first.

Obviously your friend is responsible for the damage.
If he can't come up with the cash, he can take out a small loan for repair orteh purchase of a new/used bike. What ever you guys work out.
Just make sure you two have everything in writing to cover each others asses.
Now saying you guys don't trust each other, but lets face it, if there was 100% trust this thread would exist.

GOOD LUCK

This is just another reason why I have FULL COVERAGE on my bike

The only people I let ride my bike are:

1)Friends I trust and who have bikes (if they crash mine, I get theirs)
2) mechanic

I don't even let my boyfriend ride my bike... I bought a Honda for him to wreck on so I wouldn't care to much about it

if so
me love you long time

You know that bike came with all types of stipulations and requirements along with it right?

Besides the thing is still in my name so its not like he legally owns it, just rents it :D
