I was wondering, can i swap an 04 600 cluster with say an 07 cluster? if i can, will the gear indicator work? is there a way to make it work? if i can't swap it with an 07, is there a newer one i can swap with? i'm o.k. with wiring if somebody knows what may need. thanks.

only 04-05 600 clusters will work, if its a gear indicator your looking for you can pick them up for around 100 bones

the whole front fairing and fairing stay are different the holes wouldnt line up and im sure with the redesigned engine your RPMS would be off also.... i could be wrong

Good question. In theory, there is probably some way it should work. Problem is, 05 and earlier gear position sensors report 1-4, neutral, and 5-6 (three positions.) So you would probably have to replace the gear position sensor, and I don't know if that would be a straightforward swap.

k, so i guess i'll be having to do the aftermarket gear indicator then, but so you know of any aftermarket guage clusters? just kinda looking for a nicer lookin one, like they have on the newer bikes or my buddy's R1 that has blue back-light, it's pretty sick.

yeah, but do you really want to be thinking about a juicy delicious citrus fruit while you're cruisin around? besides, chicks dig a cool-blue-glow over an orange glow any day....but i just like the newer style gauges that's all. :thumbup:

only way you can get that to work is having a engine swap with wire harness , computer gauge , ignition and motor then you can look cool with blue and faster
