I have a 07 GSXR 1000 stock motor and swb, my best time to date is 9.61 with a 1.61 60ft, mph 147 The bike is lowered and one tooth down in the front, should I change the rear sprocket to +2? I weigh 155 suited. Thanks.
-1 + 1 should work with your weight, should put you through 1/4 mile at the top of 4th gear. +2 puts me just passed 4th having to shift 5th 25 ft or so before the stripe. I weight 225 in shorts. My best is 9.70 @148 w/ 1.64 60s swb, stock (mainly) motor. 06 k1...
I'm probably going to go with a mod to give me some more Rs to play with and move to +2 in the rear. It pulls my fat ass outta the hole better.
on my 07 k1000 I run -1/+4 and on my 08 k1000 i am running -1/+2 I cant tell much a difference in times other than I am in 6th on the 07 and topping out 5th on the 08 but keep in mind that i havent been racing long enough to get the full concept of what I am doing.
Thanks, I called brocks performance they recommended i run 16/41 which is -1 front and -2 rear. I'll give that a try hopefully that will shave some time off.
