Hello everyone. I have recently purchased the bike, and found out about the noise from engine, which is noticable when the engine is cold. I attach the video, if someone could suggest what to check. Perhaps this could be somewhat normal, as the noise reduces when is heats up?
I have just cheked more in details how the exhaust flanges look. It looks mostly fine, althoug i can notice the bend in the flanges, like they were overtigthened and bent. I tried to notice some gas coming out on these flanges, but i notice nothing.
Still the sound sounds like coming from inside of motor.
Take a piece of rubber hosing and use it as a stethoscope to listen around the exhaust flanges and other parts of the engine. That may help you pin down the source.
Thanx! I dont mind spending some money on those gaskets, but i am not sure that's the issue. Will check for sure.
It's not any hurry, got enough time till decent weather here.
It's cheap and easy to eliminate. Once you do that, you'll be able determine if it was only that or something else. My 2005 really doesn't sound much different. It's always been noisy.
