You’re better off rebuilding it. In most cases it’s just the brushes that need replacing and use a good QC Electric Contact cleaner to clean brush material from can and winding. Plus much cheaper.

Just out of interest, is your starter definitely knackered? In over 20 years I've only ever had one starter fail.
