Hi could any one help please

I have a 1989 gsxr750 slingshot and it broke down on my on friday, i got some new plugs for it but still no go....

When i press the start button it will fire up but as soon as i let go of the button it stops, if i rev it with the button in it runs like a dream but then stops when i let it go again the similer thing happens when i put the lights on,

any help would be great
