Hi guys
Have problem with this bike.
Initially it didn't charge
I checked the stator and all good in range.
Changed the regulator and it Burned in 2 days.
The output was around 14 under load.
The ground cable kept on going warm and for a test did reinforce the ground by giving it a extra lead to gnd bat.

Did not yield results...

^Yes, what keeps burning?

If it is the R/R itself, what brand are you using?

Hi guys
Original Suzuki
The bike came with this issue...the rr didn't charge but gnd of loom tend to get warm
Changed it with the original one...two days later dead, it has melt the rr....
The output of stator is in normal working range...the guy has led headlamps but doubt that's the cause
Thanks for the quick response

Supposed to be new...I charged it before and let the bike run without the charging system and no hot cables

At the connector itself
No mystery, you have a bad, high resistance connection. I suggest you just splice the wires together.
(John likes splices because they work.) :ROFLMAO:

Back of the rectifier burst, cables melted
Going to out in a SHINDENGEN FH020AA one...las hope here...or go craZy and nonsense by putting 2 RR in series

I’d be testing the stator for coil resistance, shorts to ground and no load AC voltages. If that’s all good, grab a quality MOSFET rr, solder and heat shrink wrap the wires between the stator and rr and then run new wiring to the battery. Should be perfect.
