I'm a big fan of both the Hayabusa and GSXR's however, i enjoy the sharp lines and aggressive nature of the GSXR's. I want to purchase a Hayabusa soon, but I'm not a big fan the of lumpy potato look of the busa. Does anyone know of a manufacturer of custom fairing sets made to fit the Hayabusa?

The Busa is a GSXR...and it has that lumpy look to hold a massive 1300...its just bigger..if you want that much motor, your gonna have a thicker bike...and i hope this isnt your first bike, cause the busa isnt exactly a starter bike..but go to ebay..and seach Hayabusa fairings....there's PLENTY..

+1...the Hayabusa IS a GSXR! This must be your first bike, and if it is, you should definitely consider something way smaller... Also, even the custom fairing sets for a Busa are going to be "lumpy potato." The fairings are wider because of the "monster" it encloses...

I have an 06 GSXR 600, and have been riding for the past six years, but Im new to the custom world, and im looking to start on a busa.

Yes, Im well aware that a busa is in fact a gsxr, and why its shaped the way it is. Thats all good and well. I do know that people have been known to put tails from 750's on theirs. I am just wondering if there are any full kits out there that are available for purchase.

For sure man, we just thought you might be new.

The busa is a fat whore, but shes got more cushion for the pushin' baby , and you'd probably have to go the custom route if you want 600/750/1k fairings.

Thanks

Thanks for your help guys. I have a whole year to plan and gather the parts for this thing. (about to go wheels up to Iraq once more)

You all seem to know plenty about the custom side of things, ill be asking more advice in the future.

I think your best bet to sharpen the lines off a busa is to just change the tail the difference made with that change is really drastic, especially with a shorty exhaust. It would take alot of fabrication/fitting to put a 750 fairing set on it, but if you have time/money/talent, I say go for it.

I've often thought of doing the same thing, strip a busa, put a new tail section on it, add a turbo and make a "Sleeping Dragon".

You could always go naked:
