Those OEM connectors look like waterproof ones so I doubt they'll have 1/4" spades in them.
You will only need one of the black/white wires so I would suggest fitting something like this.

Then you need to snip off the OEM connectors, strip about 5/16" back and crimp (or solder) the female spades (right hand side of pic) onto the wire ends. Push these into the housing that has the clip. The male spades fitted to the new unit should just push into the other housing, if not just snip those crimps off and fit the ones supplied with the connector.
