Are the connectors on the replacement lamp made to slip into the OEM head lamp connector? I've not seen that type before.

The black/white striped wire is always the ground.

You really should not need another switch, the headlight switch toggles between high and low unless you want to go stealth.

Blue wire to the high beam socket. White wire to the low beam socket. Just as the marked the wires.

The running lights are totally separate and operate with the tail light. It is the brown wire if I remember correctly.
