okay im a 7 5/8 - 7 3/4 in a hat size. i ordered an xl shoei rf-1000and just received it today. helmet fits great almost perfect. its snug but i dont know if its snug enough. its snug around the cheeks but pad is not hitting the temples. is it supposed to hit the temples? also i cannot put any fingers between my forehead when the helmet is on and strapped which is good. i did a lot of homework on youtube watching videos on helmet fit. maybe im soo paranoid because i wore a hjc in a large and it was terribly tight in the forehead and when i put on this shoei and it feels too good to be true. i guess my question is , do you think i have the right size? any other info that might help me.

well if it isnt loose than thats fine. and your cheeks should actually be pressing into your mouth. and the helmet will fit fine after it breaks in.

id also suggest going to a local dealership and wearing the helmet that you want around for like 20 mins and see how you feel then. i had worn a Icon one for 20mins and had some pressure pains... then tried a Shoei and fell in love.

should be tight but not uncomfortable. I love my shoei, I will be buying another one for sure. Its a rf-1000 btw
