I recently bought some Vortex sliders to replace the sliders I have on my bike. I took off the right side slider with no problems or concerns, but as I removed the left side slider, i nut fell from the bike. After inspecting I saw that the nut was holding the slider bolt.

Now I thought sliders bolted right into the engine block. Here are pics to show the nut installed.

Is this normal or what?

Also, does anyone know what brand sliders I have on currently?

I leave tomorrow for PA until Sunday, but When I get back, I'm just gonna cut the fairings and install the new sliders and add a nut to the new bolts. I can't think of any other solution.

But still, anyone have input on this? I just want to know for a piece of mind.
