My bike would idle then when hit throttle it would stall. I tried a few times and it started hit the throttle and ran fine. I went for a ride made it about a mile and it stalled hasn't started since.. getting code -coo. Where do I start????????

Start by maybe telling us what kind of bike it is and what you have done to it. Then maybe use a thread title that explains whats wrong and it will attract ppl who know what the issues is.

EX: My Huffy stalls when cold.

Then use the search on effective ways to put the bike in dealer mode correctly (-C00 means there is no code so if your getting a fault indicator you need to pull the code BEFORE shutting off the bike).

Then if you want to please the masses (which I recommend) make an intro thread and introduce your self.

Sorry I'm new to the forum and riding as well. It's an 2004 suzuki gsxr 600. And you can't read a code before shutting it off if you can't start it

Obviously...

which means nothing except the -C00 is still useless info.

Mods? When did it start? Miles? Any work done or incidents before it started? Maintenance up to date?

What happens when you first turn the key on? Do you hear the fuel pump prime as it should? Do you see your gauges "sweep" as they should? What happens when you try to start it? Crank as it should? Slower then normal? No crank?

Yes I can hear pump and gauges sweep as they should and it turns over but don't start. And sorry did see the questions you were asking when I replied last. This forum is new and a little tricky

If you think reading is tricky, how the hell are you going to follow troubleshooting directions?

If it cranks but won't start, one of three things is the problem. No fuel, no spark, or no compression.

No fuel: You can perform the fuel volume delivery test to confirm the pump is supplying the required fuel. Most people don't have the materials at home to do it. So, remove the top half of the airbox and put about 1/4 teaspoon of fuel down each intake and crank. If it fires and dies, you know the problem is fueling.

No spark: Same test as above, but it it doesn't fire, you're not getting spark or no compression.

No compression: a compression test is pretty easy. most autoparts stores have a loan a tool program and can loan you the equipment.

Being somewhat of an expert on this particular model, fuel issues are very common with these bikes now that they're older. I would suggest you go to your local autoparts store and get 3 feet of 3/8" fuel line and two insulated jumper wires. A large glass measuring cup is something most people have, and if not, head to WalMart. If you don't have a service manual, let us know and someone will post the procedure....again.

Didn't say reading was tricky. It's navigating threw the forum. Just needed some help. But of course people can't help but be rude. I'm no mechanic by any means. Very new to bikes in general owning and riding. I appreciate the help some of you have giving and I am trying everthing most of you have said.

They are not being rude. Maybe you have been told you're special your whole life but your communications skills suck.

Don't get defensive, fix it.

As Chuckster said, every engine needs compression, fuel and spark. You start by checking the simplest and working towards the more complex. It's just the process of elimination till you find the problem.

From what you've posted, I would suggest you check the fuses.

Much past that, I recommend you take the bike to a qualified mechanic. If nothing else, pay him an hour to diagnose the problem.

This forum is littered with posts of people with little mechanical ability trying to save a buck and ending up causing more damage then they started with.

Hopefully, you find a mechanic that will let you watch and explain the workings of the bike.

This is where you decide if you want to spend the summer "learning" about your bike or riding it.

Dude WE NEED ALL THE INFO POSSIBLE TO HELP DIAGNOSE A BIKE OVER THE INTERNET. Hell mechanics charge $90/HR for a reason. Its hard even in person.

SRAD600 I appreciate any help. So I try to answer any questions you guys ask. That being said I don't know a lot of this stuff. So when you ask a question i try to go and figure it out. And I've tried to post a video and all it says is loading. Trying to make it easier for anyone that is willing to help me.

You might want to pull your gas tank and drain it into a container and see if it's got any crap in it. Pour it through a filter to capture the small particles if there are any.
A lot of the guys were trying to help you here, but more info is always best. There are so many scenarios to what can be wrong with the bike. I realize you're not a mechanic , but getting pissed off at someone that's trying to help you won't get you very far.

I did pull tank does seem to be some crap in there. I will get back to it later this week and let you know what happens..thanks
