Hey all,
I just purchased my second k6 GSXR 1000 and it had a bunch of extras like a dynojet quick shifter and a dynojet ignition module. Will I lose anything performance wise if I uninstall the ignition module? I don't think the bike was dyno tuned and the only other mod it has are velocity stacks and a yosh full system. Thanks

Depends on the map that was used? You can use power commander to see when you look a the ignition map table

I'm taking it to have it dyno tuned after I remove the quick shifter and ignition module so I'll just let the pro's handle it, PC III stays! I heard that there is no real benefit of having a ignition module installed unless you have done, or plan on doing serious engine work? True or false?

Yes that is the main reason I aborted it also decided to go the Bazzaz route due to its abiity to run all my injectors, which I need for my project

ignition module

hi guys,

do i need to purchase an ignition module in addition to the quickshifter sensor for a k6 750? I already have the power commander ready to be fitted.....

oh, and do i need an additional rod to connect to my gilles rear sets?

Not entirely true, you have to have the ignition module on some GSXR's just to get the quick shifter to even work. Quick shifter is useless for street riders anyways.

I once had a Dynojet Ignition Module, fitted and a Dynojet Quickshifter. To be honest the quickshifter wasn't that good and was changed a couple of times. In the end I changed it for a Translogic one (which is the bizz) as used on most superbikes.
With the Ignition Module we gained 3hp on the dyno.
In the end when the motor was tuned, didn't need it made no difference.
The Dynojet Quickshifter won't work without the Ignition Module

Hate to repeat anything already wrote but.... If you have a stock K5 1000 with BMC and a slip on, the ignition module will really not add any power or be benificial. I have a PC im installing just wondering if I should pick up a Ignition module too.
