I’ve been riding for about 2 yeah 10k miles or so… and I’m trying to figure out what’s the best technique for learning how to handle your bike better. I want to be able to take a like the pro’s.. I know some of you would say just get some balls and lean the damn bike! But I would like to understand the technique before I fully drop that knee.. I have friends that will hit a curve on the freeway doing 160 in shorts and flip-flops with no fear!! :shifty I swear his knee is about ½ inch off the grown! :)headshake NUTS :headshake) do you guys have any info or a video link on how to properly lean your bike like the guys below…?

to protect yourself, your bike, and your wallet.....take a few track days this season and see what you can learn. dont practice these things on the freeway :headshake

if you want to learn to do it like Max Biaggi "your pic there" you will need the rest of your life to learn

ya i was just talking to one of my buddies about this yesterday we hit speeds of 150+ on the nj turnpike and he would always slow down when there was a mild turn coming and i would have to slow down aswell since he was in front. he wanted ot tell me that the best way to learn was on the highway! i said hell no i would love to learn on a controled course where if anything happens i dont have 3 trucks 6 cars and 2 vans behind my ass that have to stop on the dime!:headshake i figured they would show you how to lean and do it at my own pace. thanks for the advice! i am def. hitting up tracks.

take the turns you usually do but get up off the seat a lil and be kinda on the side of the seat... does wonders for handling through a curve

something i actually picked up from this forum that really helps me out man; try to kiss your mirror when youre turning. if youre leaning that way as much as you can, like people stated before, the bike will follow man.
