Ive looked at exploded diagrams and none show the bolt that holds, what i believe is the speedometer, to the front sprocket assembly. So i cant very well order a new one(because i mangled the pre-existing one on my bike trying to take it out) if i dont know what its called. Does anyone know what its called ?

Possibly the 'speed sensor'?
IIRC, there is a piece that bolts to the counter sprocket, and the sensor is in the casing?

+1 on year and model

On my K6 1000 there's a rotor associated with the speedometer that is attached by the same M8x25 socket head screw as for the headers.

P.S. The rotor and attaching screw are usually in the Speedometer section of the parts fiche.
