I just bought a 2001 600 with a Power commander, can and headers. And I thought that a 600 might be a little weak for my first bike, but I'm glad I got it, and didn't get something bigger. It's got plenty of power. Thought i'd try my hand at a street bike and was sick of waiting for my buddy to buy one for the past 4 years, heh. So i'm kinda garaging the vet except during the day, cause it's too hot too ride here during the day. (AZ).

if you go fast enough you won't feel the heat. congrats on the new bike and be careful going fast.
