Hey everyone, hopefully your day is better than mine lol

I have an 02 gsxr 600 and recently had the tank off and drains for a week to throw some tank sealer in. Tank wasn’t rusty just had a small pinhole from laying it down awhile back. Once that all set and I got her back together its starting to bogg at like 8k-9k and won’t past that only happens in 5th and 6th gear but in the other gears I can go all the way no problem. Fi code c28 for stva but the but butterfly’s that connect to it have been removed and it worked fine that way till recent. I noticed some hesitation before I did the tank so maybe a fuel pump is in order? Mods that I know of (used bike) are k&n filter, eBay slip on and the secondary butterfly’s removed. There’s also a switch tied into the GPS wire. Idk what it does but I don’t notice a difference when it’s on or off. Idk let me know what y’all think. I know there’s other posts but they all seem to be either really old or dead ends so I figured id try to revive the topic

Welcome to the forum.

You've had other things apart so it's not a sure bet, but watch the fuel hose from the tank to the fuel rail as you lower the tank as Madison suggested. Sometimes the fitting on the tank does not swivel so the hose pinches.

Then it is likely a fuel starvation issue. I would pull your pump out again and check for cracked or damaged o-rings at the pump and relief valve. Also check the high pressure filter for blockage.

didn’t even realize there was another filter there I’ll check that today and see what happens
It is in that #2 plastic piece and you can see it is pricey. Usually you can gently back flush it and restore the flow. Be gentle, it is a paper element.

No, it is bonded together. I really is not hard to back flush. People have been surprised how much crap comes out.
