Hey there everyone.
Im new to the forum and Suzukis! I just bought my first suzuki a week ago a K6 1000 totally stock and I love it. My problem is when its sitting at an idle and is then revved it feels bogged down or very laggy. Even in first gear power wheelies arent really even possible till about 7k rpms or so. Im coming from a CBR 954 and thought the gixxer would have much more low end grunnt, but really doesnt seem to make any power till about 6k rpms. When its revved low in the range it just bogs or stutters. Like a carberated bike that was just started. Even died once or twice on me when moving it around and reving it at an idle. Where should I start looking for a solution? It does it in warm weather and when warmed up too.

Ps also bike is in great condition it only has 2k miles on it and seems to have been babied, thats y im so stumped

I would first check the Intake Air Pressure sensor (IAP) If the hose from the sensor would happen to get clogged or pinched it would effect low idle speeds and low RPM runnability.

Are you pulling any codes?

When in dealer mode... Check the service manual for proper pins to jump. You will get a "C" code to display where your milage would show.

The FI light isnt on and im not pulling any codes.

only two thousand miles on a 06? ...i would go injector cleaner, spark plugs & make sure battery is "fully" charged..

It looks like my idle is a little low. Around 900 a few moments after start up... Ill try that first.

Anyone know what the normal and cold idle should be set to?

Mine idles around 1200.
