im thinkin of lowerin my k8 to make a more comfortable ride and so i can stand completely flat footed when i stop. if i was to get the adjustable lowering kit how bad would it effect riding in the curves? im no track day rider but i would say im above the average rider.

Man it really all depends. My bike is 4" down in the rear and 1.5" up front and 8" longer. You really have to put effort into the bike to make it turn but it'll turn! I've got a buddy that would nearly drag the fairings on his 63" wheelbase bike that is every bit as low as my bike. If you're above average then you should have no problem!

Very well put!

Just be ready to get the bashing from the anti-lowering folks lurking around in here. We argue this issue day in and day out.
