Ok, rather than going out buying shorter dogbones, aftermarket dogbones, or anything like that, has anyone ever taken the stock dogbones off to a machining shop to have extra holes drilled in them for lowering purposes. If so, how much space is needed bwtween the new hole and the original?

I don't think that is poosible. In order for the bike to be lower, the dog bone need to be extended to push the swing arm further. There is no place for a new hole in the stock dog bone

That is correct, you have to lengthen the dogbones, not shorten them up to lower the bike.
