can anyone suggest a way to get the melted rubber from when riding with sneakers off my exhaust pipe? Once I place the ball of my foot on the pegs, my sneaker usually ends up touching the pipe at times (Im running a highmount) system. I've tried gas, alcohol etc...

There is a product out that does remove that rubber. I've seen the Harley riders use it to clean their exhausts, just can't remember the name

i had the same problem on my r6 with a high mount.. i used a rubbing compound from 3m that was used to get minor scratches out of paint..i tried it once with the pipe warm not hot and it worked..and ive also heard of ppl using a brillo pad type deal..something with a light grip but wont make the pipe look like shit..anything with grit will work but you will have to polish the pipe up..and remember its going to happen again so find something that isnt going to be a pain to use every time you clean
