I had just left work this morning at about 230 am and just barely got on the freeway. Shifted from 2nd to third, then to forth, when I shifted to fifth I noticed there was no acceleration..:wtf:.. I then noticed my clutch was not ingaging. then my bike shut off and when i pulled off to the shoulder the puddle of oil starting to spread.. I guess I'll know more tomorrow atfer I take it to the shop. I have a feeling I'm going to be dropping another engine and tranny in her. :(

Hmm, sounds like there was a serious mechanical failure in the engine. Did you change the oil regularly?

This might be the first time I have no idea what went wrong. Seems like you were easy on that bike.

We looked it over at the shop and determined that the chain had somehow jumped the rear sprocket (it wasn't on it) and even though it did not break it had puched a hole in the engine casing. I'm getting another engine for her. And that in itself is kinda funny as it was a new chain and was just adjusted about 8 or 900 miles ago. LOL, the money I was going to use to fix my '67 Fury is now going in the bike...Oh the irony. Oh well, I love my bike and she'll be on the road again soon.

That sucks. But when a chain DOES break, they do have a nasty tendency to go through the transmission housing.
