i have a 07 600 i can do sit down wheelies all day on 1st by slipping the clutch
lately i been trying to do 2nd gear wheelie stand-up (staggered) i take it up to about 45mph slip da clutch but i cant seem to get it off the ground
any tips i really want to get them down by summer time

you just gotta practice thats all there is to it. itll come with time, not with others telling you what to do on a forum. if you can do first gear just keep practicing and trying leaning back and revving higher etc....

but be careful, second gear has alot less engine braking then first.

second gear wheelies are the same as first gear wheelies..??? except you need a bit more rolling speed and more clutch to get it up or add 3 teeth to the rear sprocket and one less on the front that way it will pop up no probs..???

i never do wheelies in second gear but i dont stunt either..???

on a side note

is it better to learn in 2nd or 1st? i heard 1st gear wheelies are more dangerous for people just learning (meaning me). has anyone heard of this before?

My bet is you have too much weight on the bars. Even a light bounce will remove ALL of your body weight.

try around 30-35mph pull up and clutch the shit out of it all at the same time :thumbup:

yyyooooo.... i tried this with the clutch... and i didnt get it up and i just smelled burnt clutch! i dont think i would try it again! i dont have 1000 to dich out for new clutch.... my boy fucked his shit up hard doing a whole summer wheeling. and how he has problems with his bran new bike.. 2008 ninja. i do my rollies in 1st thats as much as i am doing. lol but anyway GL. let me know if you figure something out with out fucking up your bike. lol :thumbup:

Yo, I have an 07 600 and when it was stock, I had no worries getting 1st gear clutch up as power up just didnt work.

It was too twitchy to hold up for more than 100 metres, but got to balance point well, so I went -1 at the front and it was awsome for power cos it wasnt laggy under 4k and taking off the lights was alot more responsive.

But not even enuff to get 2nd gear clutch ups. Can still get it up on 1st, but just that bit more twitchy so havent tried anymore.

Bit disappointed cos I miss have the front up, so will try +2 at the rear.

you shouldnt be slippin your clutch for anylonger than 1 sec. if the bike was twitchey it might not have been to bp yet b/c it should be pretty smooth. and you can get it up in second being down one, just gotta practice man
