i just ordered some adjustable lowering links and i was wondering where i can get an adjustable kickstand. also how far will the front forks of an 08 gsxr600 go down for just street riding. any of you lowered 2 inches have any trouble getting over speed bumps?

my first gix was lowered 2'' front and back, hate it, but the stock kickstand worked fine. would bottom out al the time, over speed bumps, railroads tracks and curbs. i hate how lowered bikes ride, they look good but ride like poo. i have an adjustable kickstand on my current bike, and i will probably put the stock one back one, i just dont trust it.

The front you should be able to drop 1-1 1/2 in with no problems. And lowering 2 inches will give you no problems on the average speed bump. But I have some speed bumps that look like freakin curbs. I am slammed and clear most speed bumps.

youre gonna get a bunch of different answers to this, it depends on how you ride, mine stretched 7.5, lowerd 3 in back and 1.5 in front. with stock exhaust i scrubbed almost everything, as far as handling if you like to "scrub knee" yes it will handle how you ride, i dont ride like that so it hasnt really affected how i ride, i mainly just crusie around.

well im not a knee dragger either. im just wondering if it affects the turn radius.turning right on a small road is a challenge if you cant swing out to turn and i imagine it would require you to do that more when the bikes extended.sorry if i ask stupid questions. iv never rode an extended bike before:shifty

Normal highway cruising and in and out of parking lots I dont see a difference. But I pull straight in my garage and in the morning I have to do like a 20pt turn to get out.

But as stated you will get many opinions on the subject. I had to slightly adjust suspension settings for a few days going back and forth to work to fine tune it. Although I have not taken the wifey since stretchin and lowerin so Im not sure how thatll work:hmmm:
