Hi my names Rob I live in japan but I'm from Texas. I had a 250 for but I'm trying to get a gsxr 600. I know it sounds crazy but there kind of hard to find here, well american spec at least. Hopefully everything works out for me next week and I'll be posting pics!:arsenal

Good luck with the new purchase. What is the difference between the gsxr's in Japan and the ones we buy here in the states?

not much if you import a bike from the states it's about $900.00 for a test for fuel emissions and you also have to have it tested for decibel levels. I believe there is some more stuff you have to have done but I know it totals to $900.00. I was looking into it and you actually save money importing a bike rather than buying a u.s spec bike here. Oh and also they use different vin numbers here apparently thats a big deal. (just some numbers to me though)
