whats up guys, my name is max, and im 20 years old. i joined a few days ago and decided to post up. i own a 2006 gixxer 600. i bought it in august of '08 for $6,700 with 1,300 miles on it. it is in perfect condition and has barely been broken in. ive put about a thousand miles on it since then. i havent modded it at all yet, but i plan on getting a fender eliminator kit and some sort of exhaust (more than likely a slip-on) i started riding beginning of last summer. i had never ridden anything before (dirt bikes, quads, nothin) and hopped on my brothers '98 R6 and went from there. i've been lurking for a few days, and you guys seem like a cool bunch of dudes. im in another forum for my '97 dodge avenger, and they can be real assholes. anyway, hope i'm welcome.

btw, since i know my way around a forum, i couldnt find a search box. i know this question has probably been asked hundreds of times, but... my F1 light comes on and flashes every so often. i know some people with gixxers who say its not a problem, just something with the wiring. it runs fine when it turns on, but do i need to take it in or worry about?

thanks in advance.

Yo

Welcome !!

I think the flashing F1 has something to do with the exhaust valve not 100% sure but check the site and your Manual. when mine comes on I turn the bike off and re-start it then it goes away. If it stays on and doesnt flash then there is some sort of a prob

cool thanks for the warm welcome fellas. cant believe i missed that giant SEARCH button haha :headshake

as for the F1 light, i read about it in the manual as soon as i noticed it, but all it says is to take it in because there is something wrong with the fuel injection system.
