i have a 2001 gsxr 1000. its been overhauled. bored, cams etc... i want to put a dry 50 shot with 2 10oz bottles on it.
i have the stock fuel pump, aftermarket injectors, a k&n air filter, NGK plugs, full m4 exhaust, & pc3.

i have heard that NGK plugs foul out easy with nos. i have probs b4 with them fouling out running a lil rich. any recs on plugs?

Also i have lots of people that swear by safety components in the nos kit. they are all car guys. any input on with bikes???

Havent bought anything for the nos yet so ideas on good places with good prices would help.

Any other rec that you guys have?

y r u gonna put nos on??. do you plan on racing at a drag strip? if so remember if u go for nos u will have to put a "diaper" on your bike and when u have diaper you have to get a sidewinder exhaust because a diaper will catch fire from the heat of your stock exhaust PIPEs

i got into racing at the track last year & loved it. i plan on turning this into a drag only bike hopefully within the next 2 yrs.
i havent heard of a "diaper" on a bike for or bc of NOS. i dont have stock pipes either. i have a FULL M4 system. i have seen multiple bikes with basic NOS kits.
i was also askn bout safety components like Fuel Pressure Safety Switch & nitrous filter.any thoughts?

What are you planning to make a nitrous kit or a spray bar? You dont have to work in a shop too make a bitrous kit, but to take out all the varibles you should really look into one of those spraybars or any type that can individually work as the fogger type is not as concentrated as these. If your gonna make one Good luck on it also just get a 2lb bottle and hide it in your hump of your solo tail You would be good to upgrade your springs for 50 shot also look into a hub and relays to activate it.

i actually customized my tail to hold 2 sneaky pete bottles. also i always thought the tail was too blah on my bike. this turned out better than i thought. i do intend on running a spraybar. it doesnt looks like anything special,just a alu block that splits 1 line into 4 & directs the spray into each intake evenly. if there is more let me know.

BTW Nice Tail. Do you plan on building your own dry shot?
I believe the safety precaustions are a good thing to also have on a bike. WOT Switch, Fuel Pressure Which. Etc.

i think i will just piece 2gether my own dry kit. with wanting to put 2 tanks on it just seems cheaper. havent found a kit that has even remotely what i want/need even if i just buy the 2nd tank after. only lookn to do a 50 shot. i only know the basics on NOS but wanted to here opinions from people with bikes. i only know people with NOS on cars.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about a protective engine/transmission wrap to catch pieces if the motor blows up.
