i changed my oil a few weeks ago (and the filter) and now after i ride i can see where oil is slightly leaking around the filler cap. i put the exact amount in there when i changed it. is there too much in there?

completely full is too much.. u should see a little bit of air above the oil level.. check ure service manual for the exact spec

Check your Oring on the filler cap and replace it nessary.

make sure the o ring isnt damaged

check to make sure the oil fill cap isnt cross threaded into the cover

when the bike is level the window should only be like three quarters full or something right?

the cap isnt cross threaded and the oring is intact. im goin have a look at the manual again in the morning. thanks guys

It should be halfway ideally, and at least within the limits of the window. You may have overfilled it.

mine is doing the same thing. it only does it after a hard ride. my oil is about 3/4 full in the site glass. i am leaning toward a bad o ring... let us know if you figure it out
