My oil pressure sensor wire was severed in an accident, I am trying to take it out of connection(under gas tank) to put new one in and cannot figure out how to disconnect. I know it’s probably simple and I’m just not getting it. Can anyone easily explain to me how to disconnect it? Pictures show connection I am referring to. Thanks!

Welcome.

These type connectors are used all over the bike. There is a small lock clip that needs to be pressed to pull it apart.
It is sometimes helpful to push the connector together to take tension off the clip before pressing it in and pulling the connector apart.

Some of these connectors can be pretty tight and I've used a very small screw driver to hold the clip down so I can grab the connector ends better. Do not pull on the wires.

I just had to deal with this connector. What a huge pita. But easy once you know.. You have to lift the center section up freeing a tab to slide out. If u still need details post up.
