The first pic is something that I think I unhooked but can’t figure out where it came from? It’s got an orange and a white wire running to it that’s tied up to a lot of other wires
Welcome to the forum.

I believe the first picture is the rear brake light switch.

I have my doubts that the red wire is OEM.

So I got it running now. There’s a few little things I have to fix. Like my shifter, I must’ve put it on the shift shaft backwards or something. Bc it’s all opposite now. 1 up, 5 down. Kind of aggravating lol but I’ll get that fixed. As for the wires, I need to find out where that brake light switch screws in to. And the red and black wire I left hanging with wire nuts on them. Everything seems to be working fine digitally. Except my dash is telling me to check oil temp now?

You lost me at 'underglow lighting'.
But I skimmed the next posts too.
I would say that you should leave it and get used to 'GP' shifting!
But then I realize- you ride a bike with underglow lighting, and said, no, H no.

Good luck

I'm riding a less molested/butchered K5 1000, and a nicely sorted track K61000.
Can you go over a small speed bump in a parking lot with that bike?
Did you keep at least one front rotor on that thing? I can't see the left side.
You probably use your back brake more. Kinda surprised it's still there in that picture.
And yea Einstein, that part you had in the pic is/was the rear brake light switch.

Obviously we have gone opposite directions with the look, usage, and rideablity of our bikes.

I have to admit, there is a market for the aftermarket mods you have there.

If the oil can icon is on along with the red light it is telling you there is no or low oil pressure. The wire to the pressure sensor could also be loose.

And you can ignore Todd, he's from "up there". :p

Dude put some time into it & has a matching 1st gen Mustang. You don't have to like it but anyone who has put any time into any build would acknowledge the accomplishment. Check your bedside manner Doc.

I need to find out where that brake light switch screws in to.
Look at the online parts listing, it may give you a clue. Usually there is a small bracket attached to the frame or foot rest mount above the brake pedal that the switch goes in. Then a spring goes between the switch and the brake pedal. It looks like you still have the OEM brake pedal so look for a lug with a hole in it on the top of the part somewhere.

Hell yea thanks guys I got it all hooked up and it’s running perfect. Except for Todd, no thanks to you Todd. The rest of the guys are pretty cool/helpful. Todd seems like his ego is a wittle bit too big. But that’s okay✌give us something to laugh at

Ya know @Todd_Sails you're being pretty dam rude with your comments. Just because you don't like the Long & Low 4 Life doesn't mean it's wrong, we do it for a reason. I guarantee I'd drag you ass at the drag strip on my k6. You need to apologize to this man!!!
I would love to see some more pics of that Mustang in the background.
