Slimfatass -

2003 GSX-R 1000

Story - This is my first sport bike and guess what it is a liter bike!! I have never died riding it. However; sadly I have killed a lot of chickens with it. Nobody will ride with me anymore and I get told I am crazy.

Special Mods I have made -

-Removed a LOT of stickers from the previous owner
-Occasionally wash it
-D&D exhaust
-Hand soldered TRE with a toggle switch from radio shack (bugman style)
-Wyoming road grime
-Somewhat clean K&N filter
-Michelin Pilot Power tires

Man you must have some really sick roads/scenery over there! My boy tried to buy a 2012 1000 as his first bike and the dealer refused to sell it to him. They sold him a 750 instead. Good job beating the odds Slim!

I picked her up at the end of the 2014 track season. She was mechanically sound, but needed a little off season love. I replaced wear items (chain/sprockets and tires) and then proceeded to do some major body repairs that she had from a few low sides and strapping down to a trailer. After some TLC she is looking a lot better and is running really strong. I adorned her with the number 71, the number my grandfather used to run on his stock car back in the 50's and 60's. With her getting older I probably wont do too many mods that can't be transferred to the next bike.

Bought in June 2015, This is my first bike in 10 years!
Was mint when I bought it but didn't really like the white colour so she got a full respray in ykk and what a nightmare that was! (first time painting tinted lacquer)
Using the standard exhaust I've also made my own custom can (m4 copy)
Also fitted Renthal -1 +1 520 sprocket & chain
Billet aluminium rear set
Baby plate with Cree lamp bolts
Pirreli sc 2 front and rear
Clear rear LEDs
Painted underbody
