Getting him to buy a set of OEM will probably be easier/safer than gettin him to give u some cash or check or whatever...so if u wanna go the easiest route i would go OEM, casue im sure he is not gonna be happy about replacing them anyway

sounds like you just got hit with some bad luck. ive never looked much into the pricing of wheels but to buy new oem wheels is probabaly pretty close to some aftermarkets. But i have a feeling this guys isnt going to just fork over a new set of wheels/money easily. but hopefully hes a stand up guy, let us know how it goes and good luck

if you locate a reasonably priced set on craigslist or eBay and present the option to him of purchasing these rims and re power coating (and trying not to fuck up this time) then I think you will be more likely to get a favorable response from him.

Times are hard so I am sure he is not going to want to part with any money so quickly even if he did mess up.

Yea good luck... I can hear it now... He's gonna say, "the media I use isnt harsh enough to open it up that much.." Or "I didnt even hit the bearing seals".
