I am thinking about doing a 520 conversion. The sprokets that I am going to use are 15/47 teeth. Is a standard 110 link chain going to fit?

If You are going to change the rear sprocket size I would suggest going with the 15/48 combo because gaining 3 in the rear would be like dropping one in the front. If you went up in increments like from the 45 to the 46 then 47 and so on, you won't notice a difference, but if you go from the 45 to the 48 you will notice it. the 110 should work for you. but why not get a 120 link when they are a couple bucks more to be safe.

I know it is 16/45 stock with a 525 chain. Not sure how many links it is though. I haven't been that bored yet. The chain "Regina" that I am looking to get with the conversion kit is 114 links.

stock setup= 16/45, 525 chain at 110 links. :thumbup:

I assume it is a 600. My 03 is stock geared and will lift in 1st - 3rd. What else do you need. It cones up around 75 MPH in 3rd. Just how fast do you want to go in a wheelie :laugh:

personally i did the 15/46 and it still comes up in third pretty e-z. i gotta feeling on that 15/48 you'll be hitting that rev limiter alot, i do on the 15/46 setup, but then again i do see alot of people going 15/48...shit try it and if you don't like it slap a 46 on the back. :thumbup: and that chain that your looking at should work perfect if you go with the 48, or 2 links out on the 46.

I'm gonna do pretty much the same thing on my gsxr 1000. Go with the 520 kit, but I think I'm going up 4 in the rear. it'll be loads of fun! :thumbup: :clap: :arsenal

ski, you know your tire is never gonna hook up why would you do that, compared to our 600's you have like +20 in the back, anyhows let us know how that works out 4 ya. :thumbup:

I like spinnin the tire through the corners its fun, and the only difference is gonna be 1 tooth, because right now I am 14/42, and I'll be going 15/46, so not too big of a deal. When its warm though I'll hook up good.
If Sprocket specialist ever gets their heads outa their asses and gets me my sprocket, on my 750 I'll be running a 15/74. hahaha :arsenal :thumbup:
