just curious, what's so good about the aftermarket ones? i read a few posts and there were a few guys talkin about putting 15 weight shock oil in the stock ones and said it was awesome. it's on my list of soon-to-do-things-to-do. any opinions on changin oil vs. aftermarket?

I think its probably the ability to adjust the aftermarket one. Once its set, i bet aftermarket and OEM work pretty much the same.

I'm looking at the GPR as well. It doesnt have all the cool adjustments like the Scott's, but i bet i would just set it once and never touch it again. if i raced AFM/AMA i'd think about the scotts

ive had both gpr and scotts/ohlins and did the oil swap in the stock stabilizer. the grudge i had was adjustability with changing the oil out. i like to go stiffer and softer for different riding. as far as gpr vs scotts they work great either or will pull you out of what could have been a bad day. it s really all up to what look you want gpr has different colors as scotts dont so once again they both work great.

I have both and like both...sorry, I'm obviously no help. However, I don't have anything negative to say about one over the other.

15 is fine. You are gonna think it's way heavy when you sit there and try to turn the bars but when you are actually riding, you don't notice how stiff it is; even in the tight u turns.
