Hi, I have a 01 750 but last week I started to feel a loss of power and no acceleration when opening the gas fast. The FI light came on ant the code was about the secondary throttle. It stays open or closed so there is not a good air fuel ratio. The bike does not goes over 7500 RPM its a pain in the ass (top speed 99 mph:headshake). I have done all what the repair manual says and all was fine and recalibrate the servo but now the FI light does not comes up but I still have the problem. Im thinking about the ECM may be the problem. Any suggestion????

I would also consider things like a throttle postion sensor before you go and replace the couple hundred dollar ECM.

I have an 04 and all i did was buy a throttle off of ebay and swap out the actuators...cost me 60 bux and I have an extra throttle to mess with! Just thought, is yours fuel injected???

Interesting, I may go to check the TPS and yes, it is fuel injected.

What probobly happend, (which is 99% of the time), is the solder goes bad in the actuater itself. if you can solder u can fix it urself
