i have a 04 gsxr 1000 and im replacing my clutch. do i have to soak the fibers and for how long??

i would think the amount of time that it takes to drain the old oil and remove and replace the old filter and remove the clutch cover would be enough

Which is about 20 mins to a half houur

i herd that the longer the better, some ppl said that they leave it in the bucket overnight soaking. do u think thats best??

I only use DP Braking clutch kits...NO soaking required for their plates.

almost 40k on this bike and no problems with the clutch to this point

Just turned over 40k and the clutch just barely started slipping in 6th...can't complain.

My springs seem to be wearing out after 37k miles. But on the clutch, I'd say soak them for 30min and it will be good.
