Stearing Problem & Red light on speedometer

I have a K7 600. Just before putting my bike away for the winter last year, I noticed that from one day to another when I rode the bike the stearing was really off. The stearing was always fairly tight the way it should've been. But that one day whenever I would make a right turn in particular, it felt like as I was turing, the handle bars pulled extra to the right. Almost like if it losened up even more while I was turning. :hmmm:

I didnt know if this was caused by a loose screw or some other part... Has this ever happend to anyone??? Any thoughts???

Also, that same day while I was riding, a red light came on. Is this like the "check engine" light for bikes??? What does this normally mean??? :hmmm:

+1 on the tire pressure, check it before every time you ride...
Check cable routing to be sure nothing is binding...
Check for mouse nests or other items (rags, etc) that may have fallen around the steering head during storage...you'd be surprised...
