Whats up everyone, new member from Toronto, Ontario Canada....planning on buying a 2006- 07 GSX-R 750. What are some things i should be looking for and how much KM/Miles is too much to be on a bike for those years?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

personally i wouldnt buy anything with more than 10,000 miles or 16,000 kilometers. make sure tires are good, start up, how it idles, how is rides, changing gears, chain brakes, make sure u cantake a test dive. dont buy anything without riding it.

I have that year and model and I drive mine it seems like all the time and have about 5k miles on it. Yes I live close to work but its ultimately your call. My co-worker has a 96 CBR900RR with
110k miles on it and it still runs strong. Maintenance is EVERYTHING!

+1 on the test drive. Had a buddy buy a bike without riding it, turns out it was missing 2nd gear. Granted it was an older bike, but you never know.

Some people don't allow test rides - If you let it idle for 20 minutes, warm up, rev it high, listen to the motor, shift thru gears..

if you can though test drive it of course

I bought mine without testing it, but it only had <1k miles on it so there wasn't much to test, just had to make sure it was a real 1k mile bike by peeking around

Welcome. Ask the seller if he has Maintenance Records for the bike that will tell you how well the bike has been taken care of. I have all Maintence Records for both my car and my bike. Helps when you go to sell them.
