Ok im starting to wire up everything on my 03 1000 and im kind of confused as to where im going to mount some toggle switches and buttons for my air shifter and nitrous. I have seen a few people use some aluminum flat stock and make a plate that mounts to the top of the upper fairing stay but I would rather not clutter up the area with a bunch of wires, at the same time I want then easily accessible and not under the passenger seat or the side of the battery tray where im going to have to get off the bike to see what switch im arming. Schnitz racing sells a carbon fiber switch plate but only for the 07-08 body style i think. I anyone has a custom set up they can take some pics of I would appreciate it.
Im going to have the following that im going to need to run wires to/from and the shift button will be the horn button

Nitrous Arming toggle switch
Nitrous Purge button
Air shifter arming (Horn/Shifter swap) toggle switch
Air pump on off toggle switch

I would also like to have the two gauges visible for the air and nitrous pressure, and those I think I might make a bracket for on the fairing stay but right now im just looking for some ideas on what other people have fabbed up. Having a 2lb bottle and a shifter solenoid clearly visible kind of defeat the purpose of trying to hide the switches so im just going to try and keep it as clean as possible. Thanks in advance:thumbup:

man your right down the street from me...

Anyways, I have see that also on a lot of turbo bikes but that only works because the intake ducts are pretty much pointless except for maintaining a stock look and cooling down the top of the intake plenum. I don't want to restrict the airflow to the air box or I would do that for sure. My turbo 600 has a custom boost gauge that i had fabricated and mounts directly to the front of my tripple tree. looks good but was a pain in the ass because of clearance when turning.
