who has done this, and what is the perfered tube to swap to, had a friend say to do the R1, then another friend said to use a R6.. not sure what one is better

I did it not too long ago and wasn't that impressed. It honestly didn't feel much different.

i just did the 04 r1 tube swap, u can tell the dfference its not much but worth it. as for the r1 vs r6 compare both at the yamaha dealer. i compared the gsxr tube with the r1 tube and u can tell the r1 tube is somewhat bigger. very easy mod to do
