I have run Yoshi's on every gixxer I've owned, and like the sound. I'm not, however, above trying a new exhaust, and I've heard recordings of 2-bros systems. They sound nice and throaty in the recordings. I asked around, and keep hearing "Two Inbred exhaust, might as well just cut the mufflers off!" Are these things really that loud, or am I just getting shot down by some yoshi die-hards? They sound a bit deeper than my Yoshi cans, but it's hard to tell just listening to a recording.

I HATE annoying, tinny-sounding exhausts, and quite frankly don't want to drop 800 or 900 bucks on a twin slipon setup just to be annoyed by them. Anyone running these on a 1000 or know someone who is? If not, I think I'm just gonna chicken out and buy another Yoshi setup for the new ride.

Ive had my TBR carbon Shorty on the bike for about 6 months and got only about 1000 miles with it on. i must say, your ears will ring after riding cuz of the noise. its not a cruising exhaust cuz it can get very annoying and attract some attention from the cops.

i havent been pulled over for the sound yet but im sure i will this summer. anyway, yea its not an exhaust for crusing but when you are riding hard, it is the sexiest thing ever. it idles hard as well and sounds mean at lights.

if you have the exhaust, try and stay in the back of a group ride since people behind you will get annoyed by the sound cuz they wont even know if their bike is on when you are next to them. and yes i am serious.

also, it tends to shake the bike quite a bit, like send vibrations throught it. dunno if thats a valid point but its a noticable change from the stock exhaust.

okay, so im gonna stop rambling now. i still love my Two Bros but ill prob be getting an akra shorty as somehow mentioned before me.

finally, if youre unsure if you want it, you shouldnt get. youll be too taken by the noise

I had a Two Bros on my last bike and was contemplating it for this one, K7 600. I listened to all the clips I could find, surfed this and other forums for info and found that the shorty can is a bit louder but the sound is outstanding. That being said, I could not bring myself to have the louder can since my last one was great sound but pretty loud.

I ended up getting the Akra shorty and love it!!! Sound is awesome, not tinny at all, and I can remove the baffle if I want. Also the Akra looks better on the GSXR than the 2Bros (.02) since it has a tapered design. It also fits extremely tight to the bike, so clean install and looks later.

Everything I heard with the 2Bros powertip installed and then removed, I couldn't tell the difference, so I wouldn't bank on that being the noise reducer they claim.

I love the 2bro sound. The new shorties look awkward to me. But if they can hear you then they know your there. If you get the cops attention you shouldnt be worried about it unless you blow their doors off.

Sound clips on youtube dont do anyones pipe justice like hearing it in person. I am about to go to the Taylore Made but just want to hear one in person first.

I was debating this as well. I had it on my 05 and was also told because this is a shorty can it would be louder. After reading some opinions about how annoying it is I changed my mind and when with a leo vince. I haven't installed it because I changed my mind and I'm gonna go with the two bros. Though I havent heard it in person I can always remove it if its to loud for me. I wanted a Akra shorty but can't find a used one anywhere.

I have a two bro's and after never having anything but yoshi I'm glad I changed. Much throatier sound to me. I even thought it sounded a bit quiet and chopped 8 1/2 inches off of it and now it's even louder!!! But I was half deaf to start with. It's a chance and a preference, something you just have to hear in person or go for. I'll never have another yosh again. Might try the akra shorty one day but I love the homeade 2 bro's shorty I got.

Thanks for the info, all! Still considering, but I'm leaning towards the 2Bros setup, if for nothing else just to try something different. The loudness I don't mind, it's the quality of sound that I was worried about. I actually want a bit more noise on this one, since I find myself riding in packs more and more, and the added volume will help those damned Harley riders (recliner jockeys!) notice where I am. Plus, worse comes to worse, I can always strip the kit and sell it if I can't bear the racket!

Thanks again!

I have the full exhaust Two Brothers,

IMO its the 2nd best exhaust I have heard behind the Voodoo. It's not stupid loud like the other pipes I have heard and plus the sound can be controlled which is a plus. You can either relese the throttle, pull on the clutch or install the tip. The two brothers is a loud pipe, but it is not loud for no reason like I have seen with many other pipes. The pipe doesn't get loud until you pull on the throttle. My best friend has a pipe and whether the throttle is pulled or not, the bitch is loud. I ride my bike from 12pm-3am fridays and saturdays and not once have I gotten a headache.

The day I installed it the compliments started rolling in, even before I took it out of the dealership. It is the only pipe I have seen that has people going crazy trying to get one.

If you want to hear one, head to a dealership, I am sure there is a couple of mechanics with one installed.

I have a 2bros shorty on my K7 750 and it is the shit. what bike do you have and did you notice any better throttle response cus from what I have picked up from ppl talkin about the 2bros shortys is that it doesnt hold enough back pressure like the other pipes do like the akra shorty. What do you guys hear about this?

This is pretty much why the police look at me funny when I go by. Well, this and all the assclowns at the gas station piping them up. Some people care about quality of sound, not raw noise. Not enough people, as evidenced by the number of Advance Auto Slash-Tip exhausts I see running around on performance bikes. :headshake

Another good thing about the 2bros,

It shoots out visable blue flames at night :)

Also on long distances, the inside of the pipe glows a bright red. :)

These 2 you are able to easily see only at night though. :)

Everyone loves my pipe, EVERYONE.

i didnt notice any difference in throttle response, but considering im in traffic any given day for 2+ hours, the two bros pipe droned enough to get on my nerves...and i can confirm the blue flame, the same day we swapped pipes my buddy went down a back road and was pegging the tach on some turns spitting out flame.

dont get me wrong, i would have kept the two bros shorty but for the way i drive i have no need to annouce 3 miles in advance that im coming, my akra shorty is plenty enough noise

(Plays taps for Halcyon)
I want to take this time to have a moment of silence for a 2Bros brother we lost. Halcyon we love you man, and we hope god will re-encarnate you with another 2Bros pipe.

Bow your heads men, we lost a damn good 2Bros rider. :(
